Born from an old winegrowing family established in the Côte and Haute-Côte de Beaune, the Domaine Bonnardot has evolved towards organic cultivation and natural wine, an evolution initiated by Elisabeth Bonnardot under the influence of Jules Chauvet's work, and definitively concretized with the takeover of the estate in 2006 by the young generation, Ludovic and Emilien Bonnardot.
Today, the Domaine Bonnardot has about twenty hectares of vineyards spread over the Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune appellation and the villages of the Côte-de-Beaune (Maranges, Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard), as well as the somewhat forgotten terroir of the Val de Saône, outside the appellation, below the Côte, in Bonnencontre, the village where the family cellar was located before it was recently transferred to Saint-Aubin. The vines are cultivated biodynamically, the grapes are harvested by hand, sorted and gently pressed before fermentation and maturation in barrels: an honest and unpretentious approach, respectful of the terroir and the fruit, which results in straightforward and natural wines of great sincerity.
