South-west of Colmar, near Eguisheim, the village of Husseren-les-Châteaux. The village of Husseren-les-Châteaux, near Eguisheim, south-west of Colmar: at the end of the 1950s, Gérard Schueller decided to bottle his wines on the estate, which were already distinguished by a quest for "naturalness" without chemicals. His son Bruno joined him in 1982 and continued along the same path with ever greater "peasant" rigour, intransigence and boldness. The estate now has 10 hectares dedicated to different Alsatian grape varieties, spread around Husseren-les-Châteaux, such as Rebgarten (Sylvaner), Stich (Riesling, Pinot Gris), Hohrain (Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer) or Valdele (Pinot Noir) and in Eguisheim (Grand Cru Eichberg: Gewurztraminer, Muscat,Rriesling, Pinot noir, and Grand Cru Pfersigberg: Riesling, Pinot noir). Special mention for the vines located in Obermorschwihr near the Marbach abbey: they are distinguished by the terroir of the place called Bildstoecklé, considered by Bruno a true Grand Cru, remarkable for its stony clay-limestone soil and its south-facing and ventilated aspect (Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Riesling, Pinot noir, Pinot Auxerrois). Characterful terroirs elevated by the quest for purity, intensity and authenticity, but also by an experimental approach - notably with macerated white wine. Original and vibrant wines, strongly marked by the personality of the winemaker.

The Alsatian estate led by Bruno Schueller is a great pioneer of viticulture and wine without inputs of any kind. It is spread over three villages in the Haut-Rhin - Husseren-les-Châteaux, Eguisheim (Grands Crus Eichberg and Pfersigberg) and Obermorschwihr (lieu-dit Bildstoecklé) - and is guided by one philosophy: living soils free of any chemical treatment, totally natural vinification to stay as close as possible to the terroir. The wines are matured for long periods of time to bring the raw material to its highest mineral expression and its greatest capacity to evolve over time.
