Trebez 2011

Nerello Mascalese from the lower part of the vast Feudo di Mezzo "contrada", at 580m altitude, on a north-facing slope. Destemmed, macerated for around 50 days, and matured in vats for 18 months before bottling.

Typical of Collio, the ribolla gialla grape variety - here complemented by chardonnay - comes from the Slatnik, a renowned terroir in Oslavia (Gorizia), on marl rich in minerals ("ponca"). It is macerated for 2 weeks in 240 liter Cretan amphorae.

Entirely made from old vines of nerello mascalese from different plots - especially of "crus" - the "classic" vintage of the estate.

Malvasia di Candia aromatica is macerated for 90 days with the skins to obtain a golden color and a complex and aromatic juice, with body and tonicity.

A "Reserve" cuvée made from a selection of Procanico grapes, a local variety of Trebbiano from nearby Tuscany.

Aleatico is one of the specialities of the Gradoli region. Here, old vines are delicately vinified into rosé (1 week of maceration) before one-year aging period in small barrels.

From the youngest vines of the estate, a frizzante (harvest 2019) that combines the tradition of the sparkling red of Emilia with the technical mastery that privileges the fruit of the grape variety and the character of the terroir: smooth bubbles, notes of raspberry and wild strawberry, freshness and gourmandise.

Barbera, a red grape variety with a naturally high acidity, here yields a crisp wine from the 2017 harvest, produced from a long "infusion" (about 30 days).
