The estate's "historic" cuvée, made from old Cabernet Franc vines grown on clay-limestone soil, de-stemmed grapes and gentle vinification with moderate extraction to favour the finesse of the tannins.

Originating from the region around Orléans, Gascon is a red grape variety which experienced a brief moment of glory in the Yonne, where the Courtois family originally hails from. ‘Icaunais’ is the French name for someone who comes from the Yonne.

Cabernet Franc from 60 year-old-vines, gently vinified in whole bunches and aged for 1 year for a perfectly natural juice.
