The vast winegrowing region of Languedoc is spread across various terroirs, each defined by their unique geological characteristics. Between Montpeyroux and the Terrasses du Larzac, northwest of Montpellier, Aurélien Petit established his estate in 2012, following extensive experience working on other estates. His wines presenting the label "Monsieur Petit" are produced from a dozen parcelles (brown or yellow clay soils and limestone scree) that make up his 5-hectare estate, planted primarily with Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Syrah. Additionally, under the name "La Pinarderie," he offers wines for more immediate drinking, made from organically sourced local grapes. In all his wines however, his approach is consistent: organic farming, natural winemaking without additions and a focus on fruit, freshness, texture, and a balanced structure.
This "Cyclops" is a real gift from the sky and the earth! A cuvée produced from Carignan (grown on brown clay and limestone scree) it boasts a fine-grained texture: a juicy, refined red with mouthwatering salinity.
