A cuvée of Pinot Noir "fins" (so-called "Pinot tordu" which are qualitatively superior to the "Pinot droit" clones), grown on clay-limestone soil with a sunny southeast exposure from two mid-slope parcels in the Chambolle valley: Les Combottes (70%) and Derrière le Four (30%).

From beautiful Pinot "fins" vines (45 years old, on average), the grapes are vinified in whole clusters with twice daily pigeage before ageing in barrels for 15 months on fine lees. With elegant aromas, a complex structure and velvety texture, this wine beautifully embodies the refined character of the Chambolle valley.
